Why I am voting for Barack Obama.

I am voting for him because I feel for the last eight years that my voice has not been heard. For the last five years we have been fighting a war that is not winnable in a country that they do not want us in there. Our country is out of control as far as our economy, taxes, health care etc… I could go on and on. We need a new leader, someone that has a new vision, a new way of looking at things. Have you ever lost something and had to ask someone to look for you and they find it? It’s like having a second pair of eyes. That is what I think Obama will add to our country, a second pair of eyes.

I trust him like no other; I didn’t even trust Hillary like that. A lot of people keep claiming that he associates with terrorists and is a Muslim and they could never vote for someone like that. In my eyes what does it matter if he was a Muslim? We as a country should know better that not all Muslims are bad, even the ones who live in Afghanistan. Him being a Muslim, I mean come on he is a Christian and his word should be good enough. As far as consulting with terrorists, I really don’t believe that he truly consorted with terrorists that seems pretty far fetched.

There is so much stereotyping these days that it’s like everyone has become so close minded about everything. I understand that if everyone thought the same way we would be one boring nation. What I don’t understand is why it is so hard for people to understand and change as a nation? I don’t believe in god but if I did aren’t we supposed to be ONE nation under god? They way the campaigns are being run and I am talking about both sides, is deplorable. We need a change in the direction that our country is going and we someone who is used to the working class citizen, the middle class and the poor. Someone who can relate to “me” to us.

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear. – Mark Twain
