I am still a teenager at heart.

Ok just like the title says. Justin Timberlake was on Leno last night and by golly he is hot! I was always a little too old for the whole N'Sync thing, although I do remember him on the Mickey Mouse Club. I also remember slutney spears and boobie aguilera but anywhoo...I have always considered him to be pretty talented. It doesn't surprise me that he has does the best out of the ones that have gone solo. Guys like that always make my heart flutter a little still. I think about one of the old cartoons where the enchanted person hit by cupid is all gushy and blushing, growing a pair of wings and floats about 3 feet off the ground.

Silly? Maybe, but one should never really grow up.

Elections are for the birds.

A conversation with my husband a few weeks ago and the lack of information about the candidates in our area has lead me to believe that elections are just hooey. Yes, you heard me say it HOOEY, I don't care if that is not the way the word is spelled either.

I am avid political hooey watcher. The platforms that most of the candidates are running on makes my eyes cross. President Bush in general makes my eyes cross just about once a day. Illegals, gay marriage, war in Iraq whatever your position is on it it doesn't matter. The politicians do what they want, spend what they want and at this point aren't even trying to make you think they care!

The conversation with my husband went as follows: I(Being me)am so fed up with Washington, politicians, bible thumping right wing conservatives and dippy wimpy democrats. Both parties are at fault and I am tired of hearing and seeing it. Nothing is going to get accomplished unless all come together in agreement. That will never happen and that irritates me too. People need to get it through their thick skulls that "your side, your opinion" is not the right one because of the party that you vote for or the morals that you believe in. As a democrat myself I try to understand both sides of the issues "IF" they are even worth being issues at that.

What I cannot understand is why others think it is their business to try and tell others what to do or say? Look, plain and simple its my body I will do whatever I want to it, smoke, drink, tatoo or possibly have an abortion. I am me and you have no right to tell me what I can do. Oops, I can hear them running with clubs now, but the babies?! How dare you kill an innocent child!!!! Well I guess thats for "ME" to decide and until you step in and pay for it and love it and do whatever else babies need then , butt the frick out of my business or anyone elses business.

If we all lived and followed "The Bible" whatever version you read, the world would still be pretty bad off. There still would be rape, incest, robbing and killing only because we would be following the bible there still would be stonings, beheading mass graves, etc....Whether one chooses to believe it or not there were prostitutes and homosexuals in the bible, GASP! Dare you say that about our beloved saints and apostles or whatever?! Yep I dare because its true. Oh yeah and you think we are overpopulated now? Can you even think of how many people would be on this earth if we went according to the bible, no birth control this may only be catholic teachings but none the less you get my drift. Why are people so hell bent on controlling who one can marry or who can adopt children, what does it really matter? If you love someone what does all that matter? Love is love, right!

We are so far deep into Iraq now that the means of us pulling out would bring consequences that incomprehensible. Why now though? Why make the Iraqi govenment try and take over now. Why not years ago? I truely feel for all the young men and women who have been killed not in combat but IED's or "friendly" fire. If anyone signs up to go over there at this point I am sorry but I do not consider you a hero but plain and simple stupid. These "kids" have/had their whole lives in front of them and choose to give up everything to try and win a battle that obvisiously cannot be won.

Our country in itself is slowly dying it has been for a long time. There are more homeless, jobless, uninsured and neglected americans than anyone cares to talk about. That in itself is very sad to me. Moral of the story, is that until all can come up with a plan for us as americans will not get anything else accomplished whether it be here or elsewhere. How do we really expect to help others when we cannot even help ourselves.
