'I've Forgiven My Wife,' Says Poisoned Husband

WITHAMSVILLE, Ohio -- Police said a Withamsville woman poisoned her husband, but the victim said the incident was an accident.“It was a total misunderstanding,” Jonathan Truesdell told News 5. “She's a wonderful person, wonderful person.”Investigators said Truesdell’s wife, Christina Truesdell, mixed an unknown cleaning solution into his drink and served the beverage to him.Truesdell got sick and drove himself to the hospital, police said.“He had some significant swelling of the throat and mouth area and soreness in the throat,” said Sgt. Scott Blankenship of Union Township police.Truesdell said he has recovered from his illness and has forgiven his wife, who police said admitted to poisoning his drink..”We're having family issues, dealing with deaths of friends and stuff,” Truesdell said. “My wife's having a hard time dealing with it but we're working it out. Like I said, that's a big misunderstanding."Christina Truesdell has been released from the Clermont County Jail on $25,000 bond and will face a grand jury next week on a charge of felony assault.Her husband said he would stand beside her.“I've forgiven my wife totally," Jonathan Truesdell said.
